A visit to Ski and Snowboard Club Vail

When kids arrive at Ski and Snowboard Club Vail for a morning of training, the first thing they see is a pair of photos of alumna Lindsey Vonn, the two-time World Cup champion and world champion who figures to be the face of the Olympics for the U.S. I spent a morning hanging out in the clubhouse and on the slope with the kids hoping to follow in her tracks for a column that will be published next Tuesday. It's a cool story.

Also wanted to let people know Lindsey will do a World Cup diary for the Denver Post again this winter, as will Olympic champion Ted Ligety of Park City, Utah. It's been great working with Lindsey and Ted the past few seasons and I'm proud they want to do it again this season.
